BY CORRESPONDENT,ELDORET,27TH FEB 2018-High court in Eldoret has handed Marakwet East MP Bowen Kangogo a huge blow after it declared that he did not win fairly in the election conducted on August 8 2017.
Petitioner Sammy Kemboi had gone to court seeking the court to invalidate Bowen’s election during the August 8 polls.
While issuing his ruling on Tuesday February 27,high Court judge George Kimondo said the petition is weighty considering evidence before court that Bowen did not win the election in a free and fair manner.
During the elections, Kangago was declared winner with 14,812, while former MP Linah Kilimo was said to have garnered 13,845.
Kangogo has vowed to appeal the decision terming it biassed and unfair meant to suit his political opponents in the area.
