Director of Immigration has surrendered lawyer Miguna Miguna’s passport to court

BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,21ST FEB 2018-The director of Immigration has surrounded lawyer Miguna Miguna passport in court.
Miguna was arrested and accused treason and was held incommunicado for a week before being deported to Canada.
The government has since claimed that he had been deported because he had denounced the Kenyan citizenship and opted for the Canadian one in 2009.
The move to surrender his passport comes barely a week after the government said that it would appeal the decision of the High court because Miguna was a security threat to the country.
The vocal lawyer has said that he has plans of coming back into the country next month stating that he wanted NRM to have a global outlook.
