Kenyans throng Uhuru park in millions to witness NASA’s swearing ceremony

BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,30TH JAN 2018-Millions of Kenyans have arrived at the Uhuru park grounds in Nairobi to witness the swearing in of NASA principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as people’s president and deputy president respectively.WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE has established that the coalition’s supporters started arriving at the venue as early as 5am on Tuesday.They say the most important thing to them is to witness Odinga take oath of office.

According to those we spoke to mainly from kibera area in Nairobi one of the strongest base for NASA supporters say ,they have hope that once Odinga takes over leadership their lives will change for better.”Mimi nimeamka saa kumi za  asubuhi kuelekea uhuru park kushudia baba akiapishwa hiyo tu ndio kitu nataka.” said David Ouma kibra residence.(I woke up very early at 4am and now heading to Uhuru park,the most important thing to me is to witness Raila Odinga take an oath of office).

Untill the time of going to press  the park was packed to capacity with more NASA supporters still arriving for what is seen as historic event.

As at 12pm a number of NASA leaders among them Members of parliament and members of county assembly across various counties including Nairobi had arrived with Key  principals still to arrive.
