BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,26TH JAN 2018-The national super Alliance has shown that its presidential candidate Raila Odinga won the election.In the report presented to the press in Nairobi on Friday Nominated member of parliament Godfrey Osonsti indicate that Odinga won by 8.1 million votes as compared to Kenyatta,s 7.9 million.
Siaya senator James Orengo addressing the meeting says that they have all the details of the poll.
“This is it. This is the document that contains results of the election in 2017, in which more than 80 per cent of Kenyans participated,” he said, adding only 25 per cent of registered voters participated in the October 26 re-run.
The IEBC reported a 38.84 per cent turnout.
“In this report, you will find all the details of polling stations including their codes.”
Orengo said they will not allow room for people to get to power through back doors.
On Odinga swearing in
Orengo says the current constitution does not prevent the coalition from conducting a swearing in ceremony since they are convinced that Odinga won the election. ” This constitution was generated by Kenyans and Kenyans have a right to say no to leadership that they did not vote for,there is no way a leader can be forced on people when they did not elect him”.he said.
Orengo says plans to swear in Odinga will go on.
