BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,24TH JAN 2018-The national super Alliance (NASA ) has insisted that the planned swearing of its principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as people’s president and his deputy at the historic uhuru park in Nairobi will go on as earlier scheduled.
According to NASA chief executive officer Norman Magaya ,the coalition had already written to county government of Nairobi notifying them of their intention of using the venue for their event come 30 th of January.
Magaya says plans were at an advanced stage to make payments for the same purpose before end of business today (Wednesday January 24).The move is likely to lead to a clash between NASA and the police especially after the government said the planned swearing in was against the law.
On his part Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has held that the venue has been officially closed for renovation and no public gatherings or event will be allowed .
