BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,23RD JAN 2018– Jubilee party  has defended its move to  pass a vote of no confidence  on  their  members of parliament.

According to the leader of majority in the national assembly Aden Duale says the party doesn’t regret  about the development which has greatly angered the affected members of parliament who include :Moiben’s Silas Tiren, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter who has since been  Labour committee chairman ,Marakwet MP David Bowen and Emgwen’s Alex Kosgey. The legislatures had  defied a directive by deputy president William Ruto to relinquish the seats they had won, against their party’s wishes.

Duale says Jubilee party was committed to ensuring that there was regional balance as far as leadership of various key committees was concerned. ”Even when you look at my position as the leader of majority am not from the same ethnic background as my deputy, this is the spirit of Jubilee party leadership led by his excellence the president and deputy president”.said Duale

The Garrisa town member of parliament has also accused  KNUT secretary general Wilson Sossion  and KUPPET  chair  Omboko Milemba  for opposing the move  saying the two were not suppose to participate in the vote to eject the rebel MPs.
