BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,21ST JAN 2018-The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers have begun investigations into allegations of rape at the Kenyatta National Hospital .
The detectives will reportedly conduct interviews with patients, hospital staff as well as the visitors.
The dispatched detectives have been given till the end of the week to conduct their investigations, get to the root of the matter and submit their reports.
The move by the DCI comes after a number of victims came out to expose morgue attendants whom they said had, for quite a long time, been raping mothers still nursing their after-birth experiences at the facility.
The damning allegations saw Health CS Cleopa Mailu order the KNH management to beef up security to protect patients and their relatives.
KNH management has however refuted the claims saying the reports are meant to damage the reputation f the bigestest refearal hospital in the country .
According to CEO Lily Koros nothing was far from the truth, she has since urged victims to register their complaints through suggestion boxes provided.
