They have blamed fire fighters from the county government of Kajiado for arriving late without enough water to extinguish the flames .

According to victim Jane Wangui who lost almost all  her belongings the fire started when she was still away at work and she only got to learn  from a friend.”Nilipigiwa simu nikiwa kazini kwamba kuna moto ulikuwa umetokea nyumbani, nimepoteza kila kitu ikiwemo nguo za watoto wangu”she said.(I was called while still at work that fire had broken out at home,i have lost everything including my children’s schools uniforms she lamented amid sobs).

They are now appealing to well wishers to come to their rescue and assist them in rebuilding their houses .
