KNH denies allegations of rape of mothers at the hospital as Mailu calls for patience while investigations continue.

BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,19TH JAN 2018-Kenyatta National Hospital chief Executive officer Lily Koros has asked members of public who have evidence of alleged rape of women at the facility to come forward and give details to enable in investigations.

Addressing the press at the hospital on Friday afternoon,Koros says there has been no any cases reported of any patient at the facility.

According to the C.EO the hospital has a 24 hour cctv cameras which are on at all costs and the same have not recorded any such incident.She says the reports made through Social media were in bad faith meant to damage  the name of the institution.

She assures patients and their relatives that their security will be assured whenever they are at the facility.

Speaking at the same hospital health cabinet secretary Cleopha Mailu has urged patients at the hospital to use the suggestion boxes provided to channel their complains.” I want to assure all members of public to know that the hospital management will take necessary steps to ensure their security is assured.he said.

The CS has also urged for patience among members of the public as investigations into the allegations continue with the report expected out by Monday next week.
