BY CORRESPONDENT,NAKURU,19TH JAN 2018-Assumptions sisters of Nairobi have officially taken over the management of St Mary’s mission hospital in Gilgil Nakuru county as well as Langata In Nairobi.The operation was overseen by Nakuru county police commandant Hassan Barua with several administration police.
Addressing the press after the exercise Barua said the operation was successful and that the community especially patients need not to fear as they will continue to receive services just as they have in the past.
He has also assured the new management that security will be provided for them to enable them perform their duties without intimidation.”There is no need to fear since all necessary plans have been put in place to ensure services run normally,the police post is just around and we will ensure 24 hour security”.he said.
Earlier on services were disrupted at the facility as former employees who include doctors protested the move fearing for their jobs.However the new management has ensured them that no body will be victimized.
Normal services have since resumed as security remain tight.
The tussle concerning the management of the facility as well as that located in Langata area of NAIROBI spans to over 6 years with parties taking their fight to court.
