BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,15TH JAN 2018-Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi has filed an appeal in court challenging the high court decision to nullify his election.
Delivering the ruling in Nairobi on Friday January 12 , Judge Alfred Mabeya found that Abdi failed to produce original academic forms which means he was not validly elected.
Making things worse for Abdi the court also ordered he bears the cost of the siut amount to Sh2 million t. Mabeya added that Abdi was not validly cleared to vie for the seat of Governor for Wajir County as he did not possess the educational qualifications.
The petition was filed by former Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi.
