Blow to Wajir governor Mohamed Abdi as court nullifies his election

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,12TH JAN 2018-Wajiri county governor Mohamed Abdi has suffered a major blow after the high court nullified his election.
The court’s decision follows the evidence educed in court mainly concerning fake academic certificates.
The court found that Mr Abdi did not have a valid undergraduate degree certificate.
While issuing the ruling justice Alfred Mabeya at milimani law court ordered the independent Electoral and boundaries commission IEBC to conduct by election in the county.
The case had been filed by Ahamed Abudukahi who held that the governor doesn’t have constitutional and moral authority to hold the position. Abadi has ten days to file an appeal.
He vied of Jubilee part ticket.
