Government to carry out reforms at JKIA in 100 days to improve service delivery

BY KORIRI JUMA,NAIROBI,10TH JAN 2018-The government will carry out a raft of reforms at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi in a 100  days to improve service delivery.

According to three cabinet secretaries Dr Fred Matiangi interior , James Macharia Transport and Najib Balala  of tourism who visited the busy airport early Tuesday ,the airport must be renovated so as to reflect the international standards considering the nature of  visitors who come into the county and those who travel outside the country  on a daily basis via the same airport.

On his part CS Matiangi commended the security officers  for carrying out their duties in accordance to the law,however the CS urged the to do even more.”You must always do your best especially if you consider that yours is a noble duty of  ensuring that this important facility is safeguarded on 24 hour basis”.he said.

On his part Tourism cabinet secretary Najib Balala said  all who work at the airport  must undergo  special training in public relations so as they can handle visitors more prudently.”The work you do largely revolves around meeting many people especially those from foreign countries,there is need to undergo relevant training in public relations”.said Balala.
