BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,4TH JAN,2018-The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba resumed work on Thursday after 45 days leave.The news was confirmed by the commission’s communications manager Andrew Limo.Limo said Chiloba will go on with his usual duties at the commission.
The CEO went on leave less than a week to last year’s October 26 repeat presidential election had initially announced that he was taking a three-week break from the commission after what he termed as pressure from political players who were demanding for his resignation.
At the time he was under pressure after resignation of Commissioner Roselyn Akombe owing to the nullification of the August 8 presidential election.
The opposition National Super Alliance had singled out Chiloba and other top officials at the commission whom they wanted sacked before the repeat poll can be held.
