BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,20TH DEC 2017-There was a significance improvement in this year’s KCSE exams with 142 candidate registering a mean crade of A as compared to last year when the figure stood at 141.
In the results announced by education CS Fred Matiangi at the Nairobi school on Wednesday CS Matiangi says reforms that were launched by government a year ago have begun rearing fruits.
The results indicate that Pangani girls was most improved school followed by Maranda high school in Kisumu.
The number of candidates who scored C+ decreased .
Top three students in the exams were :Karimi Naomi from pangani girls.Sharon Chepchumba from Moi girls Eldoret as well as Kenani Maina of Alliance high school.
Matiangi says the ongoing reforms will continue evan as he announced that 3 milioni secondary schools student will be enrolled in National Health insurance plan starting Janaury next year.
The CS has announced that the 10 schools will not get results after they were found to have engaged in irregularities.”We have involved experteese who will do a proper analysis of the scripts from those schools before a report comes out on 18th of January”.Said Matiangi.
