BY KORIR JUMA/CORRESPONDENT,12TH DEC 2017-The number of people who have died so far following a tragic road accident that occurred at Kamukuywa bridge along Eldoret-Kitale highway has risen to 19.Earlier 13 people died on the spot from the carnage that happened on Monday night while the rest succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment.
The accident preceded the other involving multiple car crash that occurred at the Sachangwan black area on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway early Tuesday where 20 lives have been lost.
28 others have been admitted at the Nakuru general hospital where they are still receiving treatment with most of them having suffered back and body injuries.
The accident involved a modern coast bus traveling from Nairobi to Kampala Uganda with 43 passengers on board,trailer and a north rift shuttle.
Witnesses told WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE that the accident occurred after a truck driver heading to Nakuru was being chased by National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) officials before losing control of the truck and hit oncoming vehicles; a Modern Coast bus, four Nissan Matatus, a truck and several other private vehicles.
