Home at last,as four Kenyans jailed for life in South Sudan returns home

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI, 6TH DEC 2017-It is shortly after 5pm on Wednesday and the plain carrying four Kenyans from South Sudan touches down at  at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.Family members and friends could not hide their joy at the news they have waited for so long.

The  four  Anthony Mwadime, Ravi Ramesh, Boniface Muriuki and Anthony Keya however, sneaked out of the airport with journalists not getting an opportunity to meet them.

WWW.UPESINEWS .CO.KE  could   report  that  the move to hide them from the camera  did not in anyway dampen  the spirits of  their families who  were  satisfied  that  finally they  will have an opportunity  to unite with their  loved ones.

The four, and 12 other South Sudanese nationals were sentenced to life imprisonment in 2015 for allegedly conspiring to defraud the South Sudanese presidency of Ksh1.5 billion.

The move to set them free comes just a week after president Kenyatta held talks  with his counterpart Salva Kiir.

The four Kenyans are set to be officially welcomed by by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday December 7.
