BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,5TH DEC 2017-The center for multi-party democracy CMD has urged president Kenyatta to form an all inclusive government in order to bring about national healing after divisive elections.
Addressing the press in Nairobi on Tuesday December 5,CMD chair Omingo Magara said it was time to seriously look at ways of engaging within ourselves to bring about healing.
Magara has also urged the two major political factions of Jubilee and the National Super Alliance leadership to put aside their differences and hold a dialogue that will bring about healing.” We must now have an all around dialogue that will unite the country and not to focus on the individual but Kenya at large”.said Magara. He has however warned that any other way aimed at bringing healing without following legal established framework may be a recipe for more chaos.
He has urged the opposition to ensure that law is followed in whatever they undertake as a way of having their voice hard. The CMD call comes just a week before the National super Alliance NASA leader Raila Odinga is sworn in as the people’s president.
Magara has also revealed that CMD will be working together with other civil society organization to form a seven member committee that will steer the national dialogue.Magara said every sector will be represented in the committee to start engaging on national healing of the country.
