BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,4TH DEC 2017-Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has launched the placement exercise for form one students who will be joining various secondary schools come next year.
The top performer Goldalyn Kakuyu in this year’s KCPE exams will be joining Kenya High School as Murega Sharon Nkatha of Kathigiri Boarding School in Meru County who scored 447 marks securing a place at Alliance girls high school.
This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta directed that all those who sat for the exam should know which secondary schools they will be joining, before Christmas.The president gave the directive during his inauguration.
All students who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exam in November and qualified for admission to National Schools can now send their index numbers to 20042 to know their placement.Speaking during the launch held at the Kenya institute of curriculum development the education CS says form one students will be in their new schools by 9th January 2018.
