Odinga accorded a grand reception at JKIA

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,17TH NOV 2017-The national Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has been accorded a grand reception by supporters and other leaders who thronged Jomo Kenyatta international Airport in Nairobi upon his return from the US and Europe.Plane carrying Odinga torched down shortly after 11am.

Police earlier clashed with supporters just as they approached the airport .police blocked some Nasa leaders from entering the airport as a crowd  chanted  anti-Jubilee slogans.

WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE also   was able to establish that Police used tear gas to disperse opposition supporters marching on Mombasa Road .The move did not deter them in any  way as they continued marching ahead.

There was heavy police presence around Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Odinga has been on the oversees trip for the last 10 days.

Addressing the press after Odinga’s arrival leaders James Orengo,Johnston Muthama and Bonny Khalwale said they will give a statement next week on the state of their resistance movement.The leaders also said there was no problem with them walking on the road to welcome their leader.They maintained that there was no law preventing them from peaceful marching asking police to be honest.

They have also condemned police for dispersing their supporters who were peaceful marching.The NASA leaders later on left JKIA heading to the Uhuru park where   Odinga was scheduled to address supporters.
