Kenyatta university closed indefinitely

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,17TH NOV 2017-Kenyatta university has been closed indefinitely after the students rioted on Thursday night.According to sources at the higher learning institution that talked to WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE students were angered by the fact that they have been staying at the university for many days without learning since the Nationwide lecturers strike begun last week.”We have paid school fees and yet we are not learning,the management has decided to lock us in here which is unfair”.said one student who sought anonymity.The students also destroyed the administration block on Thursday night protesting a move by the university m,anagement to continue holding them at the institution and yet there was no learning taking place.Untill the time we went to press the students could be seen leaving the compound with their personal belongings.

WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE has not been able to determine when they shall be back or when the management is likely to announce the re-opening date.
