Two out of five Children delivered by a 30 year old woman in Homabay on Sunday passes on

BY CORRESPONDENT,HOMABAY,12TH NOV 2017-Two children out of five  given birth by a woman on Sunday morning in Homa Bay County have passed on.

According to the doctors at the Matata Nursing home in Oyugis , the mother Jacinta Akinyi lost one boy child immediately after birth while  one more a girl died few hours after birth.


According to John Malago, the director at the hospital, the woman did not attend any clinic throughout her pregnancy.

“This woman started delivering at home, by the time she arrived at this hospital, she had two babies that had passed on. She managed to give birth to three other children, they are well though we have transferred them to Kisii for specialized treatment,” he said.

She told doctors that this was her sixth pregnancy and she already has four children back home. A baby died in her fifth pregnancy.

 WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE has established that  the woman gave birth to the quintuplets before her due date, with all the children weighing between 1.6 to 1.9 kilograms.
