President Kenyatta meets Nairobi county leadership in a move meant to improve living standards of residents

BY KORIR JUMA/PSCU/NAIROBI,8TH NOV 2017-President Uhuru Kenyatta this morning at his office in Harambee House chaired a meeting on the regeneration of Nairobi.

The meeting discussed mainly about a program meant to improve the living standards of Nairobi residents.

The program between the National government and the county government of Nairobi will  cost billion of shillings and focuses on key economic and social sectors.It is expected to significantly improve the livelihoods of Nairobi residents.

The meeting agreed that in the next four weeks all relevant state departments and city county departments realign their  procurement plans to ensure enough relevant allocations are available  for the implementation of the program.

The program focuses on housing and settlement,infrastructure and transport ,women and persons with disability,Energy Water among others.

The Nairobi team was led by Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko and included Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe and nominee for County Secretary Peter Kariuki
