BY SAMSON MBII/CORRESPONDENT,MUMIAS,8TH NOV 2017-Vihiga United  proofed too powerful for Nairobi City stars in a national super league match staged at the Mmuias sports complex  on Wednesday 8 November after they beat them 2-0.

It is  Bernard Ochieng  who opened the scores in the first half before captain Patrick Okullo scored the winning goal .

The hosts knew a win would move them to second in the table and put them on course for promotion and showed early intent to win when they took the lead in the 11th minute through Ochieng who rise high to head home a Chris Masinza well delivered corner kick.

The win now  means that  Vihiga are second on the log  dislodging  Wazitot, both teams have 71 points one less than leaders Ushuru but Edward Manoah’s side has a superior goal-difference.On their side the bankers  KCB drops to fourth with 70 points.
