No hitches so far as class 8 candidates begin final exams

BY KORIR JUMA/CORRESPONDENTS,31ST OCT 2017-Over 1 milion this year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations candidates begun their final papers on Tuesday without much hitch countrywide.
A spot check conducted by WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE in various schools across the countrry has revealed that most schools had the process conducted without problems.
The candidates begun by writing their mathematics paper with the exams expected to continue untill Thursday.
Prior to Today (Tuesday 31st Oct 2017)There had been fears of chaos in some parts of the country where violence was witnessed during protests in regions where the election was boycotted mainly in counties in Nyanza region.
On Monday, the Education CS explained that everything has been put in place to ensure the exams proceed smoothly.
He called on everyone including political leaders not to disrupt the program to ensure candidates have peace of mind while sitting for their papers.
Meanwhile security has been beefed up across the country and in schools even as KCPE exams continues.The situation is expected to remain the same especilly as this year’s KCSE candidates tackle their final exams that are expected to go on untill close to end of November 2017..
