BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,30TH OCT 2017-Over 1 million KCPE candidates who will be starting their Kenya certificate of Primary Education national exams on Tuesday ,on Monday undertook the mandatory rehearsal exercise in preparations for the same.
The three-day KCPE examination is scheduled to end on November 2, with the candidates expected to sit for their Science and Religious Studies papers then
A total of 1,003,556 candidates will sit the KCPE exams while 615,773 will sit for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) which formally kick off November 3.
Meanwhile Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has assured the nation that all preparations for the said exams are complete.
Speaking when he toured Githurai primary school on Monday, Matiang’i said security measures had been put in place to ensure that all candidates undertook their exams in a secure environment.”All is well and you will be doing the exams like all others candidates in the country just like you,that is why we are all hear even with the inspector General of police”. Matiangi told the school’s candidates .
