BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,25TH OCT 2017-The National Super Alliance NASA has asked its supporters not to participate in the repeat poll slated for Thursday.
Addressing a rally at Nairobi’s Uhuru park ,NASA principal’s Musalia Mudavadi and Raila Odinga have asked all their supporters not to take part in the exercise which they have called shambolic.
According to NASA leader Raila Odinga ,Thursday’s exercise amounts to dictatorship of Kenyatta and Ruto which they will not watch.”Kenya will not succumb to dictatorship in the name of Uhuru Ruto.”he said.Odinga has also announced steps that will be taken by NASA going forward. Among them NASA plans to transform NASA coalition into a Resistance movement to be able to fight for true cause of democratic justice in the country.
They will also boycott all products manufactured by companies affiliated to those in Jubilee government.Further the opposition says it will embark on a national wide campaign to sensitize Kenyans on how to resist against government and it’s officials.
In what they have called the Uhuru park declaration Odinga says that the move will be used to register NASA’s displeasure in the manner Jubilee has been running the country.On his part Mudavadi says Thursday’s repeat exercise is meant to rubber stamp Jubilee’s manipulation of cause of justice in the country.” Uhuru and Ruto are angry for power they are vicious dangerous”. he said.
Mudavadi also added that NASA has information that the government under interior ministry had deployed militias in police uniforms in regions seen as opposition stronghold to commit killings on Thursday.Such areas include Western,Nyanza,the coast and some parts of Nairobi. ”Murders that have been seen in recent time were well planned by Jubilee to assit it ascend to power and continue with their dictatorship, they can never succeed”.he added.
He also said that what will happen on Thursday marks the beginning of end of Ballot as the way of establishing government saying Jubilee had decided to have its way even when it was wrong.As NASA Mudavadi says they will not tire from fighting for Justice in the country.
