A meeting organized by a Suspicious group scuttled in Lucky summer Nairobi

BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,22ND OCT 2017-Drama ensued Sunday  October 22   in Lucky Summer estate  in Nairobi on Sunday,  after members of the public  scuttled a meeting suspected to have been organized by the outlawed mungiki sect.

Residents moved to disrupt the gathering claiming the group was an outlawed sect performing a ritual and taking oaths.

This  resulted to   a running battles between the residents and the members  who hurled tones, before police moved in to contain the situation.

According to those who spoke to WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE at the scene  say a  person was shot and injured during the incident.However police say nothing like that happened.

The suspicious group had set up a tent where they were allegedly slaughtering goats and drinking raw blood.

Until the time we were going to press tension was still high in the area with police keeping watch.
