BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,14TH OCT 2017-Third-way Alliance presidential candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot now wants the independent electoral and boundaries Commission IEBC to come out clear about the ongoing preparations for the repeat poll slated for October 26.Addressing the press in Nairobi on Saturday 14th Oct,Dr Ekuru says IEBC needed to come out through a press conference and assure the country that indeed the preparations are indeed been undertaken.
He has also confirmed that he met the commission on Friday 13th Oct to be assured on the ongoing at the commission towards a credible and fair poll even though he added he was satisfied with the what the commission was doing ,he has asked IEBC to prepared submissions in writing concerning how it intends to transmit results.
He has urged the commission to do more and ensure that indeed the repeat poll was credible beyond reasonable drought.
He has also said he does not intend to oppose the inclusion of all other sevens candidates into the repeat poll since it could drag the electioneering period even further which is not good for the country.
He added that the ongoing electioneering period had dealt a blow to the economy with many sectors such as health suffering since nurses are still on strike while other regions continue to bear the Brant of drought leading to starvation.
