BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,5TH OCT 2017-Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Thursday 5th Oct moved to the supreme asking for a clarification on whether he has any role to play in correcting errors in forms 34B.
He sought the clarification noting that data entered in forms 34B does not always conform with that on forms 34A.
While seeking clarification from the court,Chebukati says that the court while giving the detailed nullification judgement noted that he the chair can not alter the results as announced at the constituency level.
“Despite agreeing with the finding in the Maina Kiai case, at paragraph 294 of its judgment, the Supreme Court criticised the IEBC over errors identified by the court,” he says.
IEBC chair also wants the case heard immediately considering the fisrt approaching fresh presidential election slated for October 26.
