BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,3RD OCT 2017-Concerned parties in the repeat presidential poll slated for October 26 National Super Alliance NASA ,Jubilee and IEBC Tuesday were expected to hold a consultative forum. The purpose of the meeting convened by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi is to forge a way forward on how to reach a consensus on contentious issues raised by each side.
WWW.UPESINEWS.CO.KE has established that NASA side is being led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, NASA Campaign Chairperson Musalia Mudavadi and Senate Minority Leader Moses Wetangula. However the meeting will only involve presidential aspirants and the IEBC.

NASA’s Raila Odinga and Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta will be the ones taking part.
They are to meet with IEBC Commissioners led by Chairperson Wafula Chebukati and his Vice chair Consolata Nkatha .Chebukati has in recent days insisted that the principals must be the ones to attend such talks.
This is after the collapse of talks held between the commission and representatives of Jubilee Party and NASA.
President Kenyatta will lead Jubilee team.
Chebukati at the time blamed the party representatives of grandstanding, a situation he said led to the stalemate.
On Monday, 12 foreign envoys led by US Ambassador Robert Godec and Britain’s Deputy High Commissioner Susie Kitchens held talks with IEBC Commissioners and urged them to be firm.
