BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,26TH SEPT 2017-The national Supar Alliance NASA is set to open private prosecution against six IEBC officials who colluded to rig the August 8 elections. NASA leader Raila Odinga says they have evidence against the officers and will force them out of office.
Addressing the press at his Capital hill office on Tuesday 26th Sept,Odinga has also said that Safaricom limited collaborated with Jubilee, IEBC and France based Safran Morphor firm to steal poll.Odinga says the coalition has lined up a number of top lawyers who are soon going to file prosecution against the officers who assisted the scheme.
According to Odinga who is also NASA presidential candidate, the IEBC failed to produce and allow access to the servers when ordered by the supreme court claiming they were in France because the votes coming from the polling stations during the August 8 elections were being sent to France but the same were not brought back or relayed at the Bomas national tallying center.”Results from KIEMS kits were transmitted through the IEBC network to a server in France but not to the one in Kenya”.he said.
Odinga has also claimed that just two weeks to the August 8 polls around the time when IEBC ICT manager Cris Msando was found murdered , Hundreds of KIEMS kits were stolen from the IEBC and used illegally to transmit election results. He says IEBC was not ready to reform itself before a fresh election is held.”Kenyans are not ready to hold another expensive election which will be rigged again”.he added.
Odinga who was categorical that NASA will not take part in the repeat poll slated for October 26 unless the IEBC is fully reformed,added that it was unfortunate that Kenyans are facing seriously problem of a possibility where IEBC, Jubilee and other actors are determined to repeat the electoral fraud as witnessed in the August 8 elections.
ON WITHDRAWAL OF SECURITY DETAILS
Commending on the alleged withdrawal of his security details and those of his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka by the sate Odinga was categorical that he does not entirely rely of the state provided security.He says his security was in the hands of Kenyan people .”Even though the state is mandated by law to give me security, i have never relied on the same my security is from kenyan people.”he said.
