Embakasi East MP Babu Owino to spent a second night in police custody awaiting ruling on bail Wednesday

BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,26TH SEPT 2017-Embakasi East member of Parliament Babu Owino  will spend a second night at Kileleshwa police station pending the ruling on bail set for  Wednesday at 10 am.

This is after the vocal MP was arraigned in the Milimani court on Tuesday facing the charges related to  his comments  which are deemed  be unpalatable where he likened President Uhuru Kenyatta to a puppy.

Owino was arrested Monday evening and taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations  for questioning .He is being represented by Lawyers James Orengo and Otiende Amollo.

Owino  is accused of  allegedly uttering  the  statement in reference to President Uhuru Kenyatta during an opposition rally in Kawangware on Sunday.
