Former presidential candidate Muhamed Abduda Dida supports call for IEBC officials to resign before repeat of pollor

BY EURIDICE NZIOKA,NAIROBI,25TH SEPT 2017-Former presidential candidate on a Alliance for real change,Muhamed Abduba Dida  has joined those calling for resignation of all those IEBC officials who bungled the August 8 polls.

Addressing the press in Nairobi Monday,Dida said it was only when their was fair playing ground at the commission  that credible and free polls can be held.

According to Dida the IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba who is the head of operation at the commission ought to step aside especially after the full supreme court ruling which laid blame on IEBC.”Kenya is a small country you can travel from Busia to Nairobi within a short time and the claims of network coverage are not genuine  the head of logistics should go”.He said.

Dida has also expressed displeasure by the move to lock out all other presidential candidates in the repeat presidential poll slated for October 26.Dida has lauded the move by a Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot for having moved to court earlier to challenge the move

.He has also criticized the civil society organizations for remaining silence on the move.He says they all ought to have spoken against it so as to ensure all candidates are given equal  playing grounds.

He also wants legal interpretation of what a re-run or repeat presidential poll and whether all candidates ought to participate.Dida is for the onion that since the repeat election slated for October 26 is a full election it was prudent that all other candidates are involved especially if one wanted to take part.

Dida has also advised NASA principals not to proceed with their planned demonstration to force IEBC officials out of office.

Dida’s move comes even as the National Super Alliance NASA plans demonstration from Tuesday 25th Sept,to force all those IEBC officials who are accused to have bungled August 8  out of office before a fresh presidential elections is held.
