Hundreds of Jubilee supporters demonstrate outside Supreme court,claim Judges stole president Uhuru Victory

BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,19TH SEPT 2017-Hundreds of Jubilee supporters  on Tuesday held demonstration outside the  Supreme Court accusing the judges of “stealing” President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory in the August 8 election.

The supporters who claim that there should be no second round of election,insists that president Kenyatta should be sworn into office saying that  Uhuru won the election.”Kuna wakora kwa hii koti” they shouted  (there are criminal  in this court ) .They want Deputy chief justice Philomena Mwilu and Judge Isaac Lenaola removed after the petitions were filed against them raising integrity questions about them.

This comes after a petitioner  filed a petition at the supreme court alleging secret meetings were held between Deputy Chief Justice Philomena and and Supreme Court Judge Isaac Lenaola and NASA lawyers.

The petitioner Malika Ngumu claims that Siaya Senator James Orengo and Bungoma senator were in contact with the judges through proxies.

Busia senator Amos Wako who is a former Attorney General is also accused of being in conversation with the judges.

It is also alleged that the judges met with NASA lawyers and leaders at a city hospital for over nine times A damning affidavit has been filed at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) seeking investigations against Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and Supreme Court judge Isaac Lenaola over gross misconduct.

Ngumu,who is the executive director of Angaza Empowerment Network based in Mombasa, exposes underhand dealings between National Super Alliance (NASA) and the Supreme Court judges before the historic ruling.
