Heads rolls at IEBC once more as Chebukati suspends ICT chief James Muhati

BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,19TH SEPT 2017-The independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Tuesday 19TH SEPT ,for the second time, suspended ICT Director James Muhati for allegedly failing to discharge his constitutional mandate.

Also sent  on leave are the commission’s ICT Coordinator Paul Mugo and ICT Manager Boniface Wamae.

Mr Muhati  who replaced Chris Msando  who  was killed by unknown assailants is among 11 individuals the opposition National Super Alliance (Nasa) wants removed from the commission for allegedly bungling the August 8 General Election.

The ICT chief had been suspended earlier on for allegedly failing to cooperate in the audit of IEBC systems in the run-up to the August 8 poll.
