BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,18TH SEPT 2017-The planned implementation of gazette notice barring public service vehicles from entering the Nairobi CBD that was slated to start on Wednesday has been pushed forward for a period of one month.
Speaking after meeting the public service vehicles stakeholders in Nairobi Monday , Nairobi governor Mike Sonko says the one month period will enable the county to put in place measures that will facilitate smooth transition once the new plan comes into place.
Governor Sonko says all public service vehicles will not be allowed to double park, hoot carelessly ,obstruct other road users be playing loud music and other traffic offenses once the new changes takes place.
The governor has warned that owners of any Matatu found breaking the rules will take full responsibility.
