BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,13TH SEPT 2017-The Kenya national union of clinical officers has threatened to join the ongoing nurses strike starting this Friday following a recent job evaluation carried out by the salaries and remuneration commission which grouped them as unskilled and semi skilled.
Addressing the press in Nairobi Wednesday , the Kenya national union of nurses secretary general Seth Panyako has said SRC has favored doctors over them by giving them a 400% health risk allowance and degrading clinical officers and nurses.
The unions also criticized devolution of the health sector which they say has brought about massive problems in the sector urging the national government to intervene.
The Nurses and clinical officers now want the SRC to release the job evaluation report before 14th putting their appeal into consideration failure to which they will hold demonstrations collapsing health services around the country as from 15th.
