BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,13TH SEPT 2017-A 14 year old Moi Girls school student accused of setting a dormitory a blaze leading to deaths of 9 students two weeks ago has been released on a kshs 200,000. The female student was arraigned in court before high court judge Luka Kimaru and denied all charges.
The accused has also been given other conditions which she must meet as she a waits the full hearing of the case.Judge Kimaru however ordered journalists out of the court room in a move aimed at protecting the accused who is still a minor.
The incident occurred early this month while the students were a sleep in their dormitory resulting to the deaths of the students all of who are form one students.
The process of identifying all bodies through DNA test that has been ongoing at the Chiromo Mortuary in Nairobi completed on Tuesday 13TH Sept as the affected families prepare to bury their loved ones.
The deputy director of the national disaster management department Pius Masaai has said the affected families will be supported to give their children a decent send off.
