BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,6TH SEPT 2017-The national super Alliance NASA has insisted that it is more than ready for a repeat election but says the independent Electoral and boundaries Commission must make sure that it gets it Right as far as management is concerned.Addressing the press after a third parliamentary group meeting held at the Wiper party offices in Lavington Nairobi Wednesday,ODM chairman John Mbadi says NASA won the August 8 elections and they have confidence that even this time they will win again.
He says the technologies used to manage the elections must also be effected if the changes in leadership made by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati will have any meaningful difference.Mbadi also says the coalition is pushing to have the date gazetted by IEBC for the repeat election to be moved a head for at least a week for it to be convenience to all parties.
Mbadi further says the NASA principals will be meeting with IEBC officials before the end of Wednesday to discuss more on other important issues concerning the election.
He says NASA wants to see a better ,credible and fair process .According to Mbadi the supreme court case won by the coalition was as a result of guarding their vote and they are prepared to even guard it even further.”We won the supreme court case because of guarding our vote and this time we are prepared even more”.he said.
Mbadi has also said the fundraising pay bill number announced three days ago towards financing their activities
has so far received positive response with contributions still trickling in.The number is 991444.
