BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,5TH SEPT 2017-Jubilee Members of parliament have hit out at the national Super Alliance NASA leader Raila Odinga for Giving the independent Electoral commission IEBC conditions for a repeat of presidential poll slated for 17th October.
Led by Sen Kipchumba Murkomen the leaders who spoke to the press on Tuesday at the parliament buildings on Tuesday, have accused Odinga whom they said was hypocritical .They have also accused NASA leader of plans to interrupt the national exams slated for October and November.They have dared Odinga to boycott the poll if he wishes.
Addressing the same meeting Murang’a county senator Sabina Chege said the announcement by NASA leader that he will boycott the election if the date remains is another plan to derail or disrupt the national exam calendar. The senator wondered if NASA leader had ever sat for such exams and realize the tension that characterizes the same among candidates and parents.
Their sentiments comes just hours after NASA leader Raila Odinga said he will reject the date of 17th October announced by IEBC for a repeat election .Odinga who was addressing the press at the Wilson airport before boarding a plane to Nyaimra and kisii counties for votes hunt,said IEBC did not consult him and other stakeholders before arriving at the date.
