BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,30TH AUG 2017-The former Bodyguard to Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula Simon Lonyang was on Wednesday 30th Aug released on a free bond by a milimani court.
Lonyang was arrested on Monday after a scuffle ensued between him and the police who were manning the supreme court.It is allegedly that Lonyang disrespected the order given to him by police officers not enter the supreme court armed.
He was accompanied by Senator Wetangula and NASA leader Raila Odinga as they arrived to attend proceedings of their petition challenging the re-election of president Uhuru Kenyatta in the just concluded August 8 elections.
Lonyang was facing to count of charges including resisting arrest and causing a disturbance in the court.
he pleaded not guilty however he will be needed to deposit kshs 20,000 in court before a date for hearing of the case is set.
