BY JOHN WERU,NAIROBI,29TH AUG 2017– 10 people have been confirmed dead after a bus they were traveling in collided with lorry on the Bangal-Ukasi Road in Tana River Tuesday morning.
Police say several other passengers were injured during the 3am accident.
According to North Eastern Police Chief Edward Mwamburi the bus was headed to Nairobi from Garissa when it collided head-on with the lorry.
The Kenya Red Cross indicated that the injured were rushed to the Garissa main hospital.
The cases of road carnage have increased in the recent past on the said road mainly attributed to heavy vehicles mainly lorries that ferry goods from Kenya to other neighboring countries .
