BY NAMULONGO PETER,NATION,28TH AUG 2017-Public schools across the country  reopen  for the third term today (Monday 28th ) after the August  break. It is  the term  which will see standard 8  candidates sit for their final exams as well as those in form four who will be writing their KCSE final paper.

This  comes even as a show down looms between The teachers service commission TSC and the Kenya National Union of Teachers KNUT  following what KNUT terms as deliberate discontinuation of the TSC to implement  teachers’  annual increment.

Addressing the press last Friday 25th August,2017,Kenya National Union of Teachers secretary General Wilson Sossion was categorical that  failure by TSC to reinstate the program they will proceed on a national strike where all teachers who are their members will down their tools within seven days.

The move could greatly affect the management and administration of the 2017 national examinations namely KCPE and KCSE which teachers play a big role in administering .
