BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,23RD AUG 2017-The Supreme Court  now wants  all  parties to the presidential election petition  currently before it and their supporters to  desist from  engaging with  discussions around the subject .

The 7-judge bench has therefore advised the legal representatives in the case to advise their clients of the penalties that are attached to the contravention of the sub judice rule.

They have also cautioned the public against profiling judges with a view of seeking to predict which side of the argument they are likely to take.

Under the sub judice rule, a matter under judicial consideration should not at the same time be prosecuted  before  the court of public opinion.
