BY JOHN WERU,KIAMBU,19TH AUG 2017-Kimbu governor Ferdinand Waititu has been sworn in to start his five year term in Office. In the ceremony held at Ndumberi grounds on Saturady 19th August,Waititu also Known as Baba yao took an oath of office together with his deputy James Nyoro.
Waititu takes over from William Kabogo whom he trounced in the just concluded general elections held on 8th of August 2017.
Addressing the residents who gathered to witness the historic event,Waititu has vowed to unite all residents of Kiambu county and bring development to all.According to the new governor his priority will be to empower the youth to have meaningful employment as well as ensuring that women are funded to start and operate their businesses.
He has also pledged to drastically lower the cost of doing business in order to attract investors.
