BY NAMULONGO PETER,BOMAS,9TH AUG 2017-Third Alliance presidential candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot say the major setback to the 2017 elections has been failure by the electoral body to avail forms 34As.
Addressing the press at the national tallying center at the Bomas of Kenya Wednesday 9th August afternoon, Ekuru says what the commission had been feeding the nation as far as results are concerned were not a true representation of reality as the same had not been verified as no forms 34As had been availed.
Ekuru also urged fellow presidential candidates to visit the national tallying center to have a chance of interacting with their respective agents.According to Dr Ekuru this will give them a feel of exactly what is happening.
He has also insisted that it was logical for IEBC to at least ensure candidates to sample a few forms 34As to be able to ascertain the authenticity of the results. He also decried the barring and harassment of his party agents who he said were prevented from accessing or even having a look at forms 34As.
There are a total of 40,8000 forms34As emanating from the entire election.
Ekuru says it was until Wednesday morning that their agents were called to have a look of those forms.
He also urged kenyans to remain calm as their was time before matters are settled including compiling results and declaring according to the law.
