BY NAMULONGO PETER,NAIROBI,9TH AUG 2017-The independent electoral and boundaries commission IEBC has categorically stated that their electoral management systems were never tampered with. In one of its updates given by C.E.O Ezra Chiloba on Wednesday evening at the Bomas of Kenya the IEBC said the reports of hacking of its servers to manipulate results had not reached them,they only heard in the media.”We have not received any reports of hacking ,we only heard the claims in the media but as far as we are concerned we are fine with our systems”.Said Chiloba.
Chiloba also announced that the commission had successfully created a link on its website where members of the public could get access to all forms 34As which ahve already been keyed into the portal.
Chiloba further says the commission had received 10 forms 34b indicating that already returning officers in ten polling stations had officially declared winners .He says the national tallying center at the Bomas of Kenya will experience increased activity from Wednesday evening as more forms 34As and 34Bs continue to trickle in.
The delay in releasing forms 34As is as a result of a huge election which has resulted to a lot of work considering that there are 600 forms that must be verified by the returning officer.
He also reported that there was 1600 poling station that had not reported their results.
