Give us your vote and we will not disappoint,Uhuru urges as he campaigns in Kisii,Bomet and Kakamega


BY NAMULONGO PETER/CORRESPONDENT,31ST JULY 2017-President  Uhuru Kenyatta  and his deputy  William Ruto  on Monday took their re-election campaigns  in three counties of Bomet,Kisii.and kakamega urging residents of those counties to rally behind them come 8th of August 2017.

Addressing residents of  kisii town president Kenyatta asked kisii  voters  to support them this time round.The head of state said it was only Jubilee party which has an agenda for Kisii county and the country at large. He  further urged kisii county to vote for Jubilee this time round and especially bearing in mind that during the last elections the county largely leaned on the opposition.

The president also promised Kisii county that  Etago sub county shall be gazetted in the coming week in order to ensure services are brought even closer to the people.The president said the government has heard the appeal of the people to grant them a sub county.

After kisii president Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto went to Bomet county where they addressed a public rally.While urging Bomet to come out in large number and vote for Jubilee on the elections day,the president urged the residents to vote for Jubilee gubernatorial aspirant Joyce Laboso who will be battling it out with the incumbent Chama Cha Mashinani’s Isaac Ruto. ”Will you  vote for  a woman to be the first governor in Kenya and send home this person and this proverbial man?” asked the president.  He also appealed to residents of Bomet to vote for other aspirants vying for  others seats on a Jubilee ticket.

Jubilee  also campaigned in Kakamega county addressing a rally in Mumias.

In the mean time the national super Alliance NASA principals took a break  from campaigns Monday.The coalition will however resume  its campaigns on Tuesday 1st August with several rallies slated for Kisii county.
