BY KORIR JUMA,NAIROBI,24TH,JULY 2017-The National Super Alliance NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga is the only one who turned up for the presidential debate held at the Catholic university of Eastern Africa CUEA on Monday to respond to questions 14 days to August 8 elections.
Odinga who had approximately 1 hr:30 minutes to respond to questions in a session moderated by KTN’s joe Ageyo and NTV’s Linus Kaikai did not mince his words about corruption.Odinga said unlike the Jubilee government NASA government will not spare anyone despite their positions in society
When asked if he was president kenyatta and NYS saga caught up with his government,he was categorical that should evidence be available those capable will be met with full force of the law.
”If i were president i would have taken action against Waiguru the magufuli style”he said.
Odinga also outlined his plans to lower the cost of living for ordinary Kenyans who are forced to struggle on daily basis to fend for their families.
On matters security he said he will give priority to withdrawing Kenyan soldiers from Somalia a move that would reduce cases of terrorism attackers which continue to be seen in various parts of the country.
Odinga said if voted for come August 8 he would make sure all Kenyan soldiers currently working in Somalia could be de-redeployed to border points of Kenya especially border posits to Guard the country’s boarders
Odinga also confirmed that NASA will set up a parallel tallying center on the day of elections to help in countying of votes for the coalition.
He told Kenyans not to give up admitting that they are hurting due to many challenges but should encourage them selves and come out in large numbers and vote.
Upon finishing his presentation,Odinga did it in style ”Thank you countrymen. The most important office in a democracy is that of the citizen. I am humbled to have presented my case to you”.he said.
